Monsters University

Monsters University was awesome!!
The animation was beautiful!  I mean, there was a scene where Mike and Sully are talking by a pond and it seemed as if I could actually feel Sully's fur.  Visually, it is beautiful.  Story wise, too.  I don't want to give anything away, but I kind of related to Mike.

Happy Fourth of July!!!!!

Happy Fourth of July!!!!!
BD is on vacation as of today.  I THINK I may have some time off to write and catch up on the things I want to do, but I'm not very optimistic about that.  Anyways, we've made plans for these days off.  Originally, we were supposed to go to a get-together with some old friends from college but the date was changed so we've decided to just go out on different outings with LM (of course, because I would never leave him behind).  We were thinking of starting tomorrow, but we've called my MIL and decided to start today.

Camp NaNoWriMo

Big question: DID I ACTUALLY WRITE YESTERDAY?
Answer:  YES.
WOO-HOO!!!  Okay.  So I had prepared a calendar for camp.  Everyday there's a certain word count goal I should achieve to complete my 50,000 words by the end of July.  I didn't divvy up the words equally, though.  I set my goals so that I'd be writing more in the beginning of July (Except for July 4th) and I wouldn't have to play catch-up towards the end.  Of course it's the 3rd of July and I have the feeling I'll be playing catch-up anyways since yesterday was actually the first day I started writing and I only got in 625.  BUT, in my defense, although LM did give me about half an hour of writing time while he napped, my back is still hurting.

Been a long time...again...

In case you don't know, NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writing Month which takes place in November of every year.  The idea is that you write every day for a word count goal of 50000 in a month.  I had heard about it before and thought it'd be something fun to do, but with work, and public transportation, and other stuff there was just no time.  Last year, I thought "Hey! I won't be working in November so I can do it this year!"  Of course, I was pregnant and didn't think how time-consuming a newborn baby was.  (My king is an October baby).
